Despite the fact that all the marketing glitz promises dramatic improvements (including solving hunger, curing the common cold, and providing world peace) merely by using the cloud, there are a lot of operational prerequisites and gotchas that abound with cloud deployments regardless of vendor or project. We'll explore monitoring, provisioning, and of course the config management pre-reqs and gotchas that simply must be in place for a cloud effort to be a success.
