Ops in the Cloud
Despite the fact that all the marketing glitz promises dramatic
improvements (including solving hunger, curing the common cold, and
providing world peace) merely by using the cloud, there are a lot of
operational prerequisites and gotchas that abound with cloud deployments
regardless of vendor or project. We'll explore monitoring,
provisioning, and of course the config management pre-reqs and gotchas
that simply must be in place for a cloud effort to be a success.
