Amazon Adds Another US West Region
I guess maybe the US Pacific Northwest and Mountain West got sick of Silicon Valley sucking down all the bandwidth for Amazon's first US West regional data center in Northen California, because today Amazon brought a second US West region online today located in Oregon, aka. Hopefully some more folks out West will get better prices on their EC2 instances and better connectivity as well. One commenter said he's looking forward to a second EU West Zone in Frankfurt, Germany. Couldn't find any evidence in a Google search to see if he was joking.
