Couchbase Raises $14 million in Funding
Couchbase, the NoSQL database company that offers data management and scalable web application services, scored $14 million in a new round of funding today, bringing its total funding to $30 million. This news comes just two weeks after the release of Couchbase Server 2.0, the company's "first integrated product release after the merger of CouchOne and Membase." The new funding will be going towards "accelerating the delivery of NoSQL database technologies, grow the company in the enterprise market, and expand internationally."
Envolve Now Supports Chat for Individual Pages
The chat-as-a-service provider Envolve launched some new updates to their integrated web chat products including a new API, allowing web developers to include chat on individual pages without having to insert embed codes on each one. The service is free for up to 150 users in the chat, and is currently used by over 20,000 sites. Enterprise level services remove the user limit and is priced based on site visits. Envolve also announced that a mobile version is on the way.
Jaspersoft Introduces Self-Service Express
Business intelligence software experts Jaspersoft introduced a new subscription service today, the "Self-Service Express Subscription". The new subscription service is a "low-cost support offering" aimed at open source developers that "want premium, professional grade BI documentation and knowledge base articles." The Self-Service Express Subscription is available now for $199 a year.
