Must-See Talks at CloudOpen and LinuxCon

If you’re attending CloudOpen and LinuxCon this week, you’ll have the opportunity to see a number of talks about or related to Apache CloudStack:

Wednesday

• What is the Open Cloud?: This keynote panel starts Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

• Building the Open Cloud: David Nalley will focus on the open source software and standards to adhere to for building cloud computing environments and the complementary open source management tools that can be combined to automate the management of them.)

• Deploying an IaaS Cloud with CloudStack: David Nalley will talk about the considerations in deploying CloudStack and gain the most efficiency from the deployment.

Thursday

• Building FOSS Clouds: I’ll be leading a tutorial on using CloudStack. This starts Thursday at 2:25 p.m. and runs to 4:05 p.m.

Friday

• The Cloud in 20 Years: Peder Ulander will talk about what we’ve learned from 21 years of Linux. This starts at 9:15 a.m.

• The Myth of Cloud Standards and What to Do About It: David Nalley will tackle the topic of cloud standards, and what companies should do while waiting for “true” standards to emerge. This starts at 2:10 p.m.
