Description: Brian Gracely, Brian Katz (Sanofi-Aventis) and Tal Klein (Citrix) talk about all the angles surrounding mobile computing today. Mobile devices, mobile development environments, apps vs. applications, shadow IT, HTML5 and much, much more.

This genesis of this podcast started with a rant on Twitter by @reillyusa about incompatible mobile apps and app-stores, and quickly escalated into many opinions about where the future of mobile is headed. So we decided to grab a few of the participants in that thread and put them onthe show. Unfortunately Christian was unable to make the discussion, this time.
NOTE: This conversation could have gone on for 3-4 hrs, with the topics going in all sort of directions (good/bad technology, changing requirements of IT, legacy apps, the future of HTML5 and a bunch of other topics. Maybe we need to create http://themobilecast.net someday?
Topic 1: Over the past 3-4 years, the mobile “device” market has changed as radically as any I can remember in technology for my past 20 years. Would you agree, and what areas are most interesting to you these days?

Topic 2: What are the big barriers for business to deal with all these devices? What works, what's really broken, where is there room for new start-ups or innovation?
Topic 3: What are the big differences between legacy applications and new applications when dealing with mobile devices?
Topic 4: What are the different ways that IT organizations (and lines-of-business) are dealing with these challenges?

Topic 5: What’s the most broken concept around mobile these days? Security, App Stores, Device Management, Client-Side Hypervisors, Data-Plan Pricing?

Topic 6: Let’s end on an upbeat - what’s the coolest things you’re seeing with mobile these days, or a great mobile prediction for 2012?
