Cloud Foundry Joins Pivitol Initiative
Cloud Foundry recently announced that the open PaaS joined the Pivitol Initiative, an independent project by VMWare and EMC dedicated to maintaining focus on big data and cloud application platforms. You can read more about the Pivitol Initiative at the VMWare blog here.

Cloud independence and multi-cloud support are important beliefs for us and the broader Pivotal Initiative. Expect open interfaces and support for a variety of clouds, with continued development on AWS, Openstack, vCloud and vSphere environments.
